Crisis telephone line providing single-point access to crisis services for individuals in Simcoe County and surrounding areas
- Crisis line is available 24 hrs a day for individuals to speak with staff who are professionally trained in mental health and addictions
- Crisis workers provide:
- suicide intervention
- risk assessment
- information and referrals
- assistance in resolving crises and securing appropriate crisis intervention resource information
- point of contact for arrangement of further Crisis supports (mobile in community, Crisis and Justice Safe Beds, emergency services teams, Assertive Outreach referrals)
- pre-crisis support and coping strategies to those who have experienced significant mental health concerns and/or psychosocial stressors and will secure appropriate level of Crisis intervention ongoing
