Busby Centre - Drop In Services
Provides low-barrier drop-in services for individuals experiencing homelessness, housing instability, or low income. Staff are available to provide basic needs, support, and connection to community resources in a welcoming and safe environment.
Services include:
- Bagged lunch or emergency grocery bag (12:00 pm-1:00 pm)
- Hot meal at dinner time (5:00 pm-6:00 pm daily)
- Case management support
- Hygiene supplies and seasonal clothing
- Harm reduction supplies
- Access to short-term warming space, free showers, and washrooms
- Assistance with Health Cards and other paperwork
- Transportation support for local and out-of-town medical appointments and housing viewings
- Referrals to community programs and services
- Virtual access point for medical, corrections, and other support appointments
- HEPCURE free testing
- Simcoe County Paramedic Service - Para-Medicine Program (monthly)
- Monthly haircuts with "Haircuts for the Homeless" - Third Monday each month, 1:00 pm-4:00 pm
- Weekly Foot Care Nurse - Wednesdays, 9:00 am-12:00 pm
- Empower Simcoe - Housing Access Worker - Mondays & Wednesdays, 9:00 am-12:00 pm
- Ontario Works & Ontario Disability Support Program Drop-In - Thursdays, 9:00 am-12:00 pm
Donations:
- Donations of breakfast and lunch items, survival gear, toiletries, and cleaning supplies are appreciated.
