Application
By telephone 613-771-9630 or Toll Free 1-866-414-0300 during regular business hours Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Staff will help you complete an application over the phone which can take approximately 30 minutes, depending on call volume. Online applications can be processed 24 hours a day at www.ontario.ca/socialassistance. You can also pick up an application at the office or by calling to request application be mailed out 613-966-1311.
Eligibility
* 16 years and older
Each member of the household must meet at least one of the following criteria:
* The member is a Canadian citizen
* The member has made an application for status as a permanent resident under the immigration and Refugee Protection Act (Canada), or
* The member has made a claim for refugee protection under the immigration and Refugee Protection Act (Canada)
* You are able to live independently and make your own arrangements for supportive services.
