  • areas of law includes academic appeals, human rights applications, immigration and refugee, minor criminal offences, record suspension applications, police complaints, school issues, Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) and Employment Insurance (EI), tenant issues
  • ID clinic and tax dispute clinic
  • public legal education workshops

Eligibility

  • persons whose primary source of income is social assistance
  • York university students are exempt from financial eligibility requirements
  • other applicants income must meet financial criteria determined by Legal Aid Ontario


  • Residency requirement: residents of Toronto or persons who have a case being heard in a Toronto court

other languages may be available, interpretation may be arranged

Wheelchair accessible building including main entrance and barrier free washrooms ; braille elevator ; designated parking
