KEYS Employment and Newcomer Services - Opportunities Fund Program

Program assists individuals with disabilities to prepare for, obtain and maintain employment.

  • provides individualized support and ongoing mentoring/coaching
  • assist the participants in building required skills and confidence for the workplace
  • provides job search support, pre-employability training, wage subsidies and work placements
  • provides financial assistance for work attire and equipment
  • connects participants with employers and get paid work experience
  • work placements can be used to help participants in entering the labour market

    Eligibility

    Available to individuals who:
  • self identifying as having a permanent disability
  • are not currently working more than 15 hours per week or attending school/post secondary training
  • are ready and willing to participate in job search activities
  • are legally entitled to work in Canada
  • can commit to working 25+ hours per week (exceptions possible as needed)
