Project SHARE - Eviction and Housing Loss Prevention

The Housing Support Team assist individuals and families who are facing an eviction or at risk of becoming unhoused. Staff will complete an intake through a phone call or ono-on-one meeting to identify individual needs, connect with internal agency supports and provide referrals to applicable community services.

  • Identify and work closely with those at risk of homelessness due to eviction or housing loss
  • Assistance with completing Niagara Regional Housing applications
  • Support solutions to tenancy issues
  • Engage with landlords and help mediate
  • Assist individuals and families with finding access to a shelter or safe alternatives to a shelter
  • Referrals to other resources, programs and services in the community

Anyone experiencing homelessness and seeking admission to shelter can call 2-1-1
