Centretown Community Health Centre - Medical Services

Most primary care appointments will be done in person, with some options for telephone or video visits. Call to make an appointment.

Health centre focused on individual, family and community health, with services and programs across multiple departments:

  • general practice by appointment
  • medical same day appointments for registered clients only
  • obstetrics for low-risk pregnancies
  • prenatal and postnatal support
  • nutrition counselling
  • nursing outreach for street-involved people and vulnerable seniors
  • walk-in clinics for those who are street-involved or a refugee claimant newcomer to Canada
  • harm reduction services
  • anonymous human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) testing and counselling
  • needle exchange program
  • options counselling for unplanned pregnancies
  • referrals to specialists for registered clients only
  • chiropody
  • community-based diabetes education
  • health education and support on issues like stress reduction, healthy weight, smoking cessation
  • health education and support programs and services for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, two-spirit and questioning community members

We are not currently accepting new clients for the general practice ; When possible, we will draw from HealthCare Connect ; Register online or by calling 1-800-445-1822

Eligibility

  • People who live within service boundaries and do not already have another family doctor or nurse practitioner - NOT currently accepting new clients
  • Specialty clinics have specific eligibility criteria focused on CCHC priority populations; see website for more information
  • Same-day medical clinic: patients already registered to CCHC Primary Care
