YMCA of Owen Sound Grey Bruce - Grey Bruce Settlement & Language Services
Offers supports to newcomers to Grey County and Bruce County including:
- One-on-one support to answer questions and help find resources in the community
- Group information sessions; important settlement topics, life in Canada, and the local community
- LINC English Language Classes
- Community connections' activities to help make friends and engage in the local community
- Newcomer employment program offers help in finding and retaining employment
- Citizenship classes
- Settlement Workers in Schools (SWIS)
Staff will travel as needed to meet with clients in their own communities within Grey and Bruce Counties.

Eligibility
- A person in Canada who was received an Approval in principal letter for their Application for Permanent Residence
- Convention Refugee
- Protected persons
- Temporary Worker or Student who has obtained initial approval for a concurrent Application for Permanent Residence
Languages
Arabic - Interpretation; French - Interpretation; Hindi - Interpretation; Ukrainian - Interpretation; Other - Interpretation services available for other languages
