The County of Huron's Social Housing Program provides a range of administrative, support and funding services to provide rent-geared-to-income and affordable housing options in the County of Huron.
Available programs offer rent-geared-to-income and affordable housing options to low-income individuals, couples, and families.
Centrally located south of Clinton, our services include:
• Answers to questions about Social Housing in the County of Huron
• Processing new applications for subsidized (rent-geared-to-income) housing within the county
• Determine eligibility for social housing according to the Housing Services Act, 2011
• Update applications for subsidized housing with required information changes
• Manage and maintain a Centralized Waiting List for Social Housing Providers within Huron County

Applications can be found online, at the office, or phone and have one mailed out.
Eligibility
Geared to Income Housing: Must be Canadian citizen and must not be in debt to another housing corporation. Income limits apply. The 2024 income limits are: 1 bedroom - $36,500, 2 bedroom - $46,500.00, 3 bedroom - $42,000.00, 4 bedroom - $50,000.00.
