Pathways to Self-Sufficiency is a program for low-income families and individuals in Huron County to prevent homelessness and provide access to financial supports.

Assistance may include, but not limited to:

  • Hydro, Gas, Water and Sewer Arrears
  • Rental Arrears
  • Emergency dental
  • Emergency transportation
  • Eyeglasses
  • Hearing Aids
  • Layettes and baby supplies
  • Limited assistance with prosthetic items
  • Other healthcare items

Application

The Application for the Pathways to Self-Sufficiency program can be found at HERE. More information on the program can also be found on website. People receiving Ontario Works (OW) or Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) assistance should call Huron County Social Services to speak directly to their Case Manager or the Pathways Coordinator.

Eligibility

Residents of Huron County may be eligible for Pathways when faced with a sudden change in circumstances, dependent upon on household income.
