Chimo Youth & Family Services Inc.
Provides a variety of supports and services to meet the mental health needs of children, youth and their families in the community.
Services
Clinical Services tailored to the individual needs, including:
Day Treatment - 5 day classroom-based treatment program
Crisis Intervention - designed to provide immediate services to assist in stabilizing the current crisis
School-Based Services including a series of planned sessions designed to address the identified needs and goals
School-Based Services collabortively with local school boards to provide mental health supports to young people in schools
Respite Services provides overnight respite to children and youth up to the age of 18, with a variety of unique and complex needs
Youth Court Support and Mental Health Diversion Program provides support to young people with identified or suspected mental health needs and that involved in the Youth Justice system within the City of Kawartha Lakes.
The Arson Prevention Program for Children (TAPP-C) involves two main components; fire safety education (provided by the local fire department) and assessment (completed by Chimo)
Live-In Treatment is an intensive service that provides 24-hour care and support to youth residing within program. Chimo has 2 Live-In Treatment programs. Each program serves 8 youth, one for males and one for females from the ages of 12-18.
Single Session Support offered due to the suspension of the Walk-in Clinic to provide timely assistance to individuals to address a single issue related to the social, emotional, and behavioral wellbeing of the child/youth
