YES Shelter for Youth and Families - Prevention and Diversion Worker
Helps prevent youth from entering homelessness, and supports youth in diverting from homelessness
- offers regular check-ins and provides referrals to other supports
- works with individual youth supports ex. family, community connections
- works closely with the Kawartha Pineridge District School Board on homelessness prevention and education
- Supports youth in diverting from homelessness, as well as preventing entry into homelessness through early intervention in precarious housing situations
