Canadian Mental Health Association - Algoma Branch - Addiction Supportive Housing
- Provides supportive housing for individuals with problematic substance use issues based on the "Housing First Model" which does not require participation in addiction treatment or abstinence
- Offers case management for tenant and pays a rent subsidy directly to landlord
- Endeavors to increase the health and social outcomes for individuals with chronic substance use issues
Application
- Contact Central Access for initial intake and screening for eligibility
- Referrals accepted from any source including self-referral
Eligibility
- Individuals with current problematic substance use and a history of recurring treatment but unable to secure or maintain housing without support, or
- Homeless or at-risk of homelessness or marginally housed individuals willing to identify harm reduction or abstinence substance use goals, and
- Are capable and willing to participate in the ASH program
