Provides holistic, evidence-informed health and wellness services to meet the diverse needs of the student population

Health Services: Offers convenient, confidential and comprehensive medical care to Lakehead University students

Mental Health Services: Counselling at Student Health and Wellness is a free, short-term, client-centred, non-judgmental service

  • Licensed/registered, professionally-trained counsellors provide one-to-one counselling to students and help them address their needs
  • Students can also explore other support options through the WellU Key (https://lakehead.portal.gs/)

Application

Services are available to all currently registered Lakehead University students; Appointments can be made by calling reception at 807-343-8361

Eligibility

Medical:
  • Currently enrolled Lakehead University (Thunder Bay campus) students who have paid the Health Services Support Fee in their tuition
  • Provincial health card or alternate health coverage, such as University Health Insurance Plan, documentation and student card required
Counselling: Currently enrolled Lakehead University (Thunder Bay campus) students Note: The Health Services Support Fee is not the same as the LUSU Medical/Dental Insurance Fee
