New Canadians' Centre of Excellence Inc - Workplace Language and Skills Training
Enhanced Language Training (ELT):
- provides 8 weeks in-class occupation focused language training and a 4-week work placement to newcomers assessed at Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) 6 or higher who intend to re-start their careers in Canada or work in a related field.
Immigrants with Occupation Related Knowledge (IWORK):
- provides workplace focused language training to newcomers who are assessed at Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) 2-5 and are looking to find entry level jobs
- program consists of 2 components: 8-week in-class language training and 1 work placement for total of 40 hours during a 4-week work placement

Eligibility
Permanent Residence; Protected Persons and Persons in Canada who have received initial approval of their application from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada
18 years of age or over
Valid language assessment CLB (Canadian Language Benchmarks) level 2-5 for IWORK and level 6 or higher for ELT
Looking for a job in the field or entry level
