Employment Counselling to the unemployed and those underemployed.
  • Employment Placement and Training incentives available to employers to offset costs associated with training and added supervision during the training period
  • encourages employers to re-employ those who are unemployed (no longer linked with EI eligibility)
  • Funding assistance for work clothing, tools, police clearance, medicals
  • Canada Ontario Job Grant (COJG)

Eligibility

Employers:
  • Businesses
  • non-profit organizations
  • municipalities
  • First Nations councils
  • public health
  • educational institutions
  • Position must meet minimum requirements Participant Eligibility: Must be unemployed (or working less than 20 hours per week), not a full time student (some exceptions allowed) - must be eligible to work in Canada.
    Age Requirements: Ages: 15 year(s) and up
