YMCA of Southwestern Ontario - Newcomer Services for Women
Services and supports focusing on assisting refugee claimants in partnerships with, and by making referrals to, the Diocese of London's Windsor Refugee Office. Information sessions and referrals provided assist clients with:
- preparing for Immigration and Refugee Board hearings
- understanding options in case of negative IRB decision
- connections to community organizations and resources
- work permits
- Ontario Works
- general settlement information
Application
Receive referrals from Citizenship and Immigration Canada, government offices and non-government service agencies
Walk-in applicants accepted
Eligibility
Women (permanent residents and protected and convention refugees, approved in principle persons)
